I finally got my Decor Elements up! They look so good. First I had to put the create definition in my stamp room. I have a feeling that this is going to be the #1 seller. The picture isn't very good because the lighting isn't very good down there. It looks like there isn't much contrast between the wall color and the white letters, but it really is noticeable in person. Second I added the Together Forever Circle Frame to a piece of MDF that I cut, routed, and painted. I then added an H in the middle. It's hanging from some Chocolate ribbon in my foyer. I'm happy with how the both turned out and I'm ready for more!!

What Fun!
I'm 1! OK not really, but Kai will have a first birthday next year and she already has a scrapbook page for it. I used some left over pieces from the Confetti Simply Scrappin' kit that we used at my scrapbook class last month. I added some stripes across the top and a strip of Old Olive cardstock. I stamped my title with Short Order Alphabet and Numbers in Taken with Teal, Summer Sun, Old Olive and Rose Red. I added two little bursts on either side of my title. I added a Rose Red photo mat to my Taken with Teal page. I stamped the candle outline from Big Birthday Candles on a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Confetti kit and cut it out. I then stamped my flame in Summer Sun on Whisper White and the outline in Basic Black and cut it out. I adhered my candle and flame to the page. I then stamped "make a" in Old Olive and punched it out with the Word Window punch and stamped "wish" in Taken with Teal and punched it out with my Word Window punch.
And that's the end of Kai's baby book!!

First Christmas
Here are the Christmas pages for Kai's baby book. I love this stamp set, Season of Joy, and I hope to see it in the IB&C. I also love Real Red and Old Olive for Christmas colors. I used my Old Olive and Summer Sun markers to color in the tree and stamped in on a piece of Whisper White which I then mounted on a piece of Basic Black. I added a swirl to the bottom corner with Old Olive. I added a piece of Real Red cardstock to both pages, lining them up so when the pages are next to each other they'll be even.
I added another swirl, this time to page 2. I then used Short Order Alphabet to stamp 1st with Versamark then embossed in silver. I layered this on a Basic Black circle and used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole and thread my silver cord through. I adhered it to my page using Stampin' Dimensionals and a glue dot to hold the cord in place. I then stamped Christmas in Versamark and embossed in silver and punched it out with my large oval punch. I then adhered it to my page.

Fall Fun
Here are the fall pages for the baby book. I think they look really funny without pictures because of the photo corners, but I with pictures they look good, I promise. I used Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard as I thought they were great fall colors. I stamped the truck and flowers from Loads of Love in Jet Black StazOn and colored it in with Classic Ink and blender pens. I added a trail of Basic Black grosgrain ribbon behind my truck. On the second page I added a Round Tab that was stamped with the Loads of Love sentiment.

Sun Fun!
I think these pages are too darn cute! I just love how they turned out. My first page is Close to Cocoa with a Summer Sun photo mat accented with a Not Quite Navy Photo Corner. I rolled my Something Fishy Jumbo Wheel across a piece of Whisper White after inking it up with Not Quite Navy and adhered it to my page. I then stamped a few fishes from Life's a Breeze in Summer Sun, cut them out and then added them to my water. I then stamped the boat in Brocade Blue on Whisper White and cut it out. I then added it to my water. I added three circles punched with the 1/2" circle punch and added three silver brads through them.
My second page is boxy. I started with a Brocade Blue base. I added a Close to Cocoa photo mat. I then cut a square of Whisper White and stamped the bucket in Close to Cocoa in the bottom corner. I stamped the sun in Summer Sun on Whisper White, cut it out and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the flip flops in Not Quite Navy on Brocade Blue and cut them out to add to my Whisper White box. In my Summer Sun box I added a beach ball which had been stamped in Brocade Blue on Whisper White with a Stampin' Dimensional. I then stamped sun fun in Not Quite Navy on Brocade Blue and punched it out with my Small Tag punch and layered it on a Not Quite Navy Large Tag. I punched a hole in my tags and added a piece of hemp twine before adhering it to my Summer Sun box. Oh, and I stamped the seashell in Close to Cocoa. My last box is a little one of Not Quite Navy. I stamped "life's a breeze" on it with Not Quite Navy. I then stamped the sunglass in Brocade Blue on Whisper White and punched it out with my 1" circle. I then layered it on a 1 1/4" circle of Summer Sun and added it to my Not Quite Navy box.
I bet these pages are even cuter when they have some beachy pictures added to them.

Decor Elements Update
OK, so the brochure for the Decor Elements was posted today. I must say I love them! I already put my pre-order in!!! So right now they come in two colors, Chocolate Chip and White. One of them comes in Chocolate Chip and Kraft. There are only a few available right now, but there will be more soon. They will be available starting July 1st. For now, click here to see the brochure!!! I hope you are all as excited about this as I am!!!
Enjoy
More girly pages!!!! This time Pink Passion and So Saffron. I stamped my sentiment in Pink Passion and So Saffron on Whisper White and rounded the corners. I adhered it to a piece of Pink Passion which I also rounded the corners of. I added a strip of Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon with a flower ribbon slide from the Styled Silver HodgePodge Hardware (available through the end of the month in the Occasions Mini). I then added it to my page. I rolled the Daisy Dash wheel across the bottom of my page, well, both pages actually, in So Saffron. I then stamped the flower circle in Pink Passion on Whisper White and cut it out with my Coluzzle and layered it on a Pink Passion circle that was cut out with the Coluzzle as well. No photo mats this time, but I think they would have made the pages too busy.

Well, just as predicted.....it's wall rub-ons!!!!! That's right, Stampin' Up! will be selling vinyl wall rub-ons for home decor! I'll know more tomorrow, when I can download the brochure. I'm excited about this new venture!!!
Wild About You
It wouldn't be a baby book without using Wild About You, now would it? How much do I love this stamp set??? If you don't have it, you need it. Page 1 is Basic Gray. I folded over the upper corner and added a piece of Very Vanilla behind it. I then punched a hole in it. I stamped Wild About You in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and punched it with my Large Oval Punch. I punched a hole in it as well and attached the two with a piece of hemp twine. I put a glue dot under the folded corner to keep it down and propped my oval up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the elephant in Basic Gray on Very Vanilla and stamped the flower with Old Olive and Summer Sun. I layered it on a piece of Old Olive and added it to my page. I then added my Very Vanilla photo mat.
Page 2 is Old Olive with a Very Vanilla photo mat. I stamped the alligator in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and layered it on a piece of Basic Gray. I added a strip of Old Olive polytwill ribbon (which is available in the Occasions Mini through the end of the month) across the bottom of my page and added my alligator over top. I then stamped adorable from Warm Words in Basic Gray under my photo mat.
Just looking at these pages again makes me want to head down to my studio and use my favorite animals.

So Very
I love this retired Sale-a-bration set, So Very. It is a great set for scrapbooking. These pages were a copy of pages from Evan's book as well. This time I used Orchid Opulence instead of Tempting Turquoise. I also added a few more strips on the second page and a little less ribbon. And I punched "cute" out with my 1" circle punch this time, which I like better. I didn't own the 1" circle punch when I made Evan's book.

Always
I was so excited to make a girly scrapbook so I could use pink. And flowers. On the first page I stamped the stems in Certainly Celery on my Certainly Celery cardstock. I added a Pretty in Pink photo mat with a strip of Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I stamped the heart from Always on Very Vanilla in Pretty in Pink and cut it out. I adhered it to my page with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added my sentiment in Certainly Celery.
For page two I started with a strip of Very Vanilla that I scalloped with my slit punch. I adhered it to the back of a Pretty in Pink photo mat, which I added to my cardstock base. I stamped my sentiment in Pretty in Pink on Very Vanilla and punched it out with my Word Window punch and added it under my photo mat. I also stamped a small flower in Certainly Celery in that corner. I stamped the circle with Always in Certainly Celery on Very Vanilla and punched it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch. I adhered it to a 1 3/8" Pretty in Pink circle. The bottom corner was looking a little empty so I added three pieces of Very Vanilla that I punched with my Word Window punch and trimmed off the excess.
It love how girly it is!

An eventful day!
First of all Happy Birthday to Me! I love my birthday!!
Happy Father's Day to all those dads out there!
And happy retired list day. Well, maybe not happy, depends on your view. I've scanned the list really quick and I must say that I'm a little disappointed about my frogs (Unfrogettable) and my snowflakes (The Snowflake Spot) being retired. But I think I'll get over it.
You can view the retired list by clicking on the lounging stamp. Let me know what you need before it's gone forever!

Challenges, Challenges
I combined two challenges for this one. First is Beate's Sketch. Second is Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration. Originally I was going to use a So Saffron card base, but I didn't have any other Old Olive on the card except one of the layers (After I adhered the white piece stamped with the heart I realized I should've added some Old Olive to it). Anywho, my card base is Old Olive. I stamped Polka Dot in So Saffron on a piece of Whisper White and added it to my base after adding a piece of 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon. My next layer is a piece of Rose Red, which I faux stitched using my paper piercer and Signo White Gel Pen. I then added a piece of Old Olive, also faux stitched. And I faux stitched my piece of So Saffron. I inked up my heart with So Saffron, then colored the big flowers with my Rose Red marker (and I should've colored some of the leaves Old Olive) and stamped it on Whisper White. Then using my Rose Red marker I colored the word always on one of the saying stamps and stamped it in the corner.
Brother and Sister
Or in this case, sister and brother. Sister's page has to come first because she's older. And apparently big sister is excited that she has her own page. She loves scrapbooks, though, so I'm not surprised. My color combo for these pages is Ruby Red, Taken with Teal, Green Galore and Whisper White. I stamped my flowers with images from Big Flowers and punched them with my 1 3/8" Circle Punch and layered them on Scallop Circles. I used a strip of Green Galore as my flower stems. The leaves were made by taking a small oval punch, folding it in half, running it through my crimper and opening it back up. It's best to adhere it with a glue dot because of the texture. I stamped my title using two different alphabets, Big Deal and Short Order.
Again, I apologize for the blurry picture. I won't let it happen again.

Mommy & Daddy
Of course every baby book needs a Mommy & Me and Daddy & Me page. I used the same layout as I did for the pages I did for baby Evan, but substituted colors and stamp set since this book is for a baby girl. I was so excited to use Garden Whimsy since I had just gotten the set when I made these pages. I also love Rose Red and Old Olive together. I apologize for the blurry picture on the Daddy & Me page, but I took all the pictures on my old wonky camera and didn't take new pics before I sent the book off. Anyway, I stuck with same layout as before, but didn't add photo corners this time. I did add some Pewter HodgePodge Hardware again. Just a reminder that the HodgePodge Hardware is retiring with this catalog so if you haven't gotten yourself some I would recommend you do so. It is great for scrapbooking.
3 pages down, 17 more to show you. But we'll save them for another day. For now I need to make sure I'm ready for tonight's scrapbook class. Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome Baby
I can post these scrapbook pages now as my sister has gotten her gift. She is pregnant with her third child and being induced on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she has the baby on Sunday since that's my birthday. Anywho, here's page 1 of the book. I started with an 8" x 8" piece of Really Rust cardstock and added a 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" Close to Cocoa photo mat. I stamped my favorite little giraffe from Wild About You in Really Rust on Very Vanilla and layered it on a piece of Close to Cocoa before adhering it to my page. I then added a strip of Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon across the top and added my title of welcome baby in Really Rust and Close to Cocoa. The sentiment is from Everything Baby and was stamped on Very Vanilla with the corners punched out with the ticket corner punch. I adhered my title with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Check back over the next several days for more pages from the baby book.

Inspired Always
I made two cards with last weeks Inspiration Challenge in mind. This is the second one. I was inspired by this picture in particular. I wanted to mimic the doors. I started with a piece of Whisper White and stamped it with the branch image from Always in Bashful Blue and the flower image in Certainly Celery. I then cut it into three equal pieces. I adhered them to my Bashful Blue card base. I then stamped the "always" in Certainly Celery on Whisper White and punched it out with my 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I then adhered it to a piece of Certainly Celery that I punched with 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I added some Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to a strip of Bashful Blue and added it across my card. I then adhered the circle to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I hope you like it! Have a great week everyone and stay cool!

My excuse
I really had hoped to blog today, but I had too much fun at the pool. Considering it was 93 degrees outside that water was mighty refreshing. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow.....I only plan on spending 2 hours at the pool, instead of all day.

Beate's Sketch
What's better on a rainy Saturday than stamping? That's exactly what I did this morning. I decided to give Beate's sketch challenge a go. I also combined it with this week's Inspiration Challenge from SCS. I started with a strip of Bashful Blue which I stamped with the flower stamp from Classic Backgrounds in Bashful Blue. I adhered it to my Old Olive card base and added a piece of Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I then found a scrap of Rose Red and punched it with my 5-petal flower punch. I then punched a scrap of Certainly Celery with the 5-petal flower punch. I cut two of the petals off and adhered it to the back of my Rose Red Flower. I added a silver brad to the center and adhered my flower with a Stampin' Dimensional. I didn't add a sentiment yet, since I don't yet have an occasion to use this card for. But it's ready when I am.
Head on over to Beate's blog and give the sketch a try!

Feeling sketchy?
I had to take shelter in the basement on Tuesday night, thanks to the tornado warnings. Luckily for me I have all the necessities for fun in the basement.....my stamps! So I dug out my file of sketches that I had made to use as inspiration.
I also dug into my much unloved Bold Brights to start off with. I decided on Orchid Opulence as I thought it would be a great color for a butterfly. I had to head over to the color combos website to help out with the rest. So, I took my Orchid Opulence base and rolled along the bottom with my Whimsy Jumbo wheel in Orchid Opulence. I added a strip of Certainly Celery across the middle and added a piece of Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I stamped my flowers in Pink Passion and Certainly Celery on Whisper White and my butterfly in Orchid Opulence. I adhered the Whisper White piece to a piece of Pink Passion cardstock and mounted it on my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I think it's kind of funny how spring-y this card turned out considering how nasty the weather was. Be on the lookout for what I made on Wednesday when I was in the basement hiding from the storm, too.
Oh, and if you want to give this sketch a try post a link back to your creation. I'd love to check it out.

Enjoy Life
I wanted to make a Thank You card for my boss as she took us on a day trip to Washington DC on Friday. I didn't want the typical thank you, though, so I went with Enjoy Life on the front and Thank You inside.
I stamped enjoy in Sage Shadow on Whisper White and rounded two corners. I stamped the small flower in Pretty in Pink and punched it out with my 1/2" circle punch. I adhered it with a Stampin' Dimensional. I stamped the big flower in Pretty in Pink on Pretty in Pink and adhered it to my card. I adhered my piece of Whisper White and then stamped life in Sage Shadow underneath my strip of Pretty in Pink. And just for the fun of it I stamped some circles and a flower on my envelope.

As you can see from the time of this post I can't sleep. So why not stamp, right? I thought it was a perfect time to work on the color inspiration over on Kristina Werner's blog. I love these colors: Old Olive, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White. I don't typically use so many colors at once. I usually stick to 3, so 5 was a bit of a challenge for me. This was actually my second take on the challenge. I was not too pleased with how the first one turned out. I used Life's a Breeze on that one. But I knew I couldn't go wrong with Big Birthday candle.
I stamped the stars from Classic Backgrounds in Bashful Blue on Whisper White. Then I stamped the outline of the candle in Not Quite Navy and cut it out. I then stamped the circles in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White and the candle outline. I colored the circles in with my Old Olive marker and cut it out. I stamped the flames in So Saffron and then the flame outlines in Not Quite Navy and cut them out. I adhered my candles and flames on a piece of Bashful Blue. I stamped my sentiment in Not Quite Navy on a piece of Whisper White and attached it to my candles like a Levi tag. I cut a small slit in the fold of my card to insert my ribbon through. I tied a knot in my Old Olive Polytwill ribbon. I layered my candles over the ribbon. I probably should've stopped there, but I really wanted to use some glitter. So, I put two silver brads up in the top corner, added a glue dot to each one and sprinkled some Fine Cosmo glitter on them.
I think it turned out cute! I love this stamp set!!!
