Have I shown you these, yet?

Isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen? I just love these little Post-It Note keychains. I made this one for me. I started with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. I stamped an image from So Many Scallops in Night of Navy on Whisper White and punched it out with my Scallop circle punch. I added a 1 1/4" circle in Night of Navy and on top of that a 1" circle punched from Whisper White which was stamped with a letter from Short Order Alphabet. I added my Post-It notes inside, punched a hole with my Crop-a-dile, attached my scallop and put a little 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon on my keyring and it's done! These are so quick and easy to make. And so cute!!!!

Slippity Slide

This is a scrapbook page that I wanted to share with you forever ago, but I apparently I hadn't taken a picture of it when I first completed it. So while I was working on some new pages the other day I made sure to take a picture of it. I got happy with the circles with this one, but I love it! I think there was a challenge (probably on SCS) about framing your picture. Well, I didn't have any frames, so I made one with a cut-out circle on the square picture. It took me forever to decide on a title for this page, but I finally settled on Slippity Slide, which I love! And I was also feeling adventurous with this page and used some DSP (which I have a really hard time doing).

Risky Rescue

Scrapbook page #2 from yesterday is Clyde and Seamore's Risky Rescue. This was a great show we saw at Sea World. This page came together really quick. It's a pretty simple page. I stamped my title with Rough Edges Alphabet and Short Order Alphabet in Not Quite Navy and More Mustard on Very Vanilla. I adhered that to a piece of More Mustard. I also stamped a row of dots from Enjoy Every Moment on two strips of Very Vanilla. One is Not Quite Navy, one in More Mustard and adhered them tot he sides of my Not Quite Navy piece of cardstock. I adhered my pictures and title. I then inked up a piece of chipboard with More Mustard and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I overheated it a little in one spot, so I stamped a star from Tagger's Dozen in Not Quite Navy and punched it out with my 1" circle and adhered it to my piece of chipboard. I added my chipboard star and thought that the upper corner looked a little plain so I added a piece of twill ribbon. I didn't really like it, but I had already stapled it, so it's stuck there now.

Wegeforth Bowl

What is one to do when avoiding housework? Scrapbook of course. That's exactly what I did today. I am so close to finishing my San Diego scrapbook and I really just want to complete it so I can really enjoy the book. Oh, and I have new pictures I want to scrap. So here is one of the two pages I did today. The pictures are from one of the shows at the San Diego Zoo. It's the sea lion show that takes place in Wegeforth Bowl. The sketch was inspired by a Becky Higgins sketch in her new book, The Best of Becky Higgins' Sketches. I love browsing this book. Her sketches are wonderful and practical.

I started with a Chocolate Chip base. I added a strip of Brilliant Blue which was stamped with one of the stamps from Background Basics. I cut strips of Very Vanilla to fit the edges of the photos and rounded the corners. I used my Basic Brown Journaler to add a caption for each of the photos. I added two Antique Brass brads to the wolf picture in the bottom corner before adding it to my page. I also added a strip of Chocolate Chip Polytwill ribbon to the owl picture before attaching it. I stamped an image from Enjoy Every Moment in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and punched it with my 1" circle. I mounted that on a 1 1/4" Brilliant Blue circle and a 1 3/8" Pumpkin Pie circle. I attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added a Pumpkin Pie Flower Fusion felt flower to a 5-Petal Flower punch in Old Olive using an Antique Brass brad and mounted it to my page with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped my title with Rough Edges Alphabet and journaled with my Basic Brown Journaler. I added a strip of Old Olive Polytwill ribbon and two strips of Brilliant Blue cardstock. I think that's about it. I hope you like it!

Today's Sketch Challenge

I sneaked downstairs for a few minutes this evening to do stamping. To make it easy I used today's sketch challenge. I started with a Basic Gray card base. I busted out my Charbon DSP (retired) and added a strip of Very Vanilla across the bottom portion. I tied a piece of 1/4" Basic Black grosgrain ribbon and adhered it to my card base. I stamped "enjoy" from Enjoy Every Moment in Basic Gray on Very Vanilla and mounted it on a piece of Basic Black. I added a "Levi tag" stamped in Basic Black and mounted it on my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Easy peasy, took 5 minutes! Enjoy!!!!!

No time for stamping

I had no time to stamp this weekend. I made one thing and that's it. My hubby was home for the weekend!!!! And I spent most of this afternoon working on a sewing project that has been sitting around for a month or so. I do want to share some pictures, though, that have nothing to do with stamping. I've been growing a pineapple for almost 2 years and it's finally starting to flower!! The pineapple is in a south facing window and it has been getting so big. It spans about half-way across the room. Soon we should have a pineapple!!!!

February Scrapbook Class

Last night was my monthly scrapbook class. Our theme was Easter and our technique was to make your own "designer paper." Here is the layout. We started with a Bashful Blue base. The Pretty in Pink mats are fitted for pictures. The one on the first page is for a 5x7 and the two on the second page are for 4x6 pictures. We used Polka Dots & Petals to make our designer paper using Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron. We added Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon on the second page. Some of the girls stamped tone on tone images on the So Saffron accent pieces and some stamped images on Very Vanilla and punched them out with circle punches and added them to their page. They all stamped Easter with Big Deal Alphabet on the bottom of the first page, some added happy from Polka Dots & Paisley. On my page I wanted to show of the Sticky Cuts letters, so I added an 'h' to my page and covered it with Fine Cosmo Glitter. We were all so excited with how it came out and that the glitter actually sticks to the letter and doesn't come off if you touch it!!! I just need to finish my title and add my pictures and I'm done!

Happy Snow Day

Well, we had some nasty weather today and I was told to go home at 12:30. Who am I to argue? So I spent the afternoon and most of the evening stamping!!!! I got to play with my new stamps sets, SAB sets, and get my stuff together for Friday's scrapbook class. Oh, and I was working on some ideas with my new bulk items for upcoming classes. I was a busy girl. And a good one, too, cause when I was done I cleaned up after myself!!! Amazing!!! So here's another creation with a SAB set. I used So Many Scallops which I just love because it works with the Scallop Circle Punch! I stamped the image in So Saffron on Whisper White. I also stamped Polka Dot BG in Bashful Blue on Whisper White. I tied a piece of new Chocolate Chip Polytwill ribbon around it (sneak peak....this will be available in the Occasions mini). I adhered all my layers to my Bashful Blue cardbase using last weeks card sketch from SCS. I added my scallop with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love how it turned out! Very springy on a very icky day!

Glitter Whimsy Birthday

While I was in my stamping space making a card for my nephew's birthday I thought these presents would look great with a little glitter. So I just had to make another card while I was there. Since the Fine Cosmo Glitter has Orchid, Celery, and Turquoise I used those for my color combo. I stamped the present with each color on Whisper White, then put glue along the whimsy lines on the present and sprinkled glitter on them. I then mounted it on a piece of Tempting Turquoise. I added some Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon to a strip of Certainly Celery. I added that to my Orchid Opulence card base and added my presents using Stampin' Dimesionals.

Well, I'm off to my nephew's birthday party!!!!

My first SAB creation

I didn't preorder any SAB stamp sets, so this is the first time I got to play with any. I just got my order that I placed on the first last night. I didn't have time to play with them until this morning after my dentist appointment. I had to play with them because I have a birthday party on Sunday in Indiana. I had to stamp today because I was leaving for Indiana after my dentist appointment. Also in my order was Basic Gray cardstock and Basic Gray classic ink. I really wanted to use it and since I needed to make a masculine card I thought it would work. It's muted, but I like it. I stamped the cake from Birthday Whimsy in Basic Gray on Whisper White. I stamped it again in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White and cut out just the cake. I mounted it on top of my Basic Gray cake with Stampin' Dimensionals. I layered that on Basic Gray and layered again on Not Quite Navy and added it to my card base. I stamped my balloons twice, too. Again, one in Not Quite Navy and one in Basic Gray. I cut them out and mounted them on my Basic Gray card base. The Basic Gray one was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I drew the strings for the balloons with a black gel pen. I'm not thrilled with how the strings turned out, but there was no turning back at this point. I stamped "happy birthday" in Basic Gray and "....and many more" inside the card. I stamped the present on my envelope and left for Indiana.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Time Spent with Friends

I'm going crazy. I am not used to being this busy or tired. I have been working full time (I usually only work 3 days a week), I have been working late (tomorrow I'm going to a marketing meeting until 9, plus an hour drive home), I have been traveling on the weekends (I met my husband last weekend at his parent's and this weekend is my nephew's birthday in Indiana), and I am taking care of a crazy puppy (ok, he's not really a puppy any more) as well as a house. I don't know where time goes any more. I haven't been sleeping well with all the wind and rain echoing off the vaulted ceiling in my bedroom and skylight in my attached bathroom. And the worst part is I haven't stamped in a week!!!

I'm getting my SAB order on Thursday, but going out of town on Friday, so I won't even have time to play with it. Most of it is paper for upcoming classes, but I am getting two new stamps sets that I'm so excited about. At least I'll get to stamp next Friday at my scrapbook class.

All I have to share with you right now is another thank you card I made for one of my guests at my jewelry party.

I love simple cards and this is definitely simple.

Happy Sale-a-bration Day

Today is the first day of Sale-a-bration!!!! I'm so excited. I was up at 2:00 AM EST this morning to put in my order (and another one for a customer). I didn't intend to be awake at that time, but Oscar woke me up, so I figured I might as well. I had the orders all ready to go, just needed to add my Sale-a-bration sets. My order is already in picking!!! Woo-hoo!!!!

In the meantime, here is another thank you card I made, again for one of the guests of my Lia Sophia party. This one has a Rose Red base. I adhered a piece of Rose Red Print DSP to the bottom portion of the base. I then added a piece of Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, but cutting a slit in the fold of the card. I stamped my flower from Big Flowers in Rose Red on Whisper White and adhered it to a piece of So Saffron. I then stamped my sentiment from Short & Sweet in Basic Black on So Saffron and punched it out with the Word Window punch. I adhered it to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

There is a link to the SAB catalog on the sidebar if you don't have a hard copy. Let me know when you are ready to place your order and get your freebies!!!
