May Scrapbook Class

Last night was scrapbook class night. We had so much fun putting together our birthday pages. We used the stamp set Big Birthday Candle and we used pieces from the Confetti Simply Scrappin' Kit.

Our base is Taken with Teal. We measured where to put our strips of Old Olive to make sure the pictures fit. On the first page the top corner will fit a 4 x 6 photo exactly. The bottom corner will fit a 5 x 7 with a little bit of Taken with Teal showing. We stamped the candle on some DSP and cut it out. We stamped the flame with Summer Sun on Whisper White and the outline in Basic Black and cut them out, too. We adhered the candles to a piece of Sahara Sand. We added the flames with Stampin' Dimensionals. Before adhering it to our page we added a little Old Olive Polytwill ribbon.

We stamped our title with Short Order Alphabet and Big Deal Alphabet in Basic Black, Old Olive, Rose Red, Summer Sun, and Taken with Teal. Some people added Rose Red photo corners and some added a Round Tab.

Our second page has a strip of DSP across the top (everyone got to pick which piece of patterned paper they wanted) and a strip of Old Olive underneath. We then measured to 6" so that 3 4 x6 pictures would fit across the page (or 2 flipped longways). We also added a piece of Sahara Sand and a tag from the sheet of die cuts that come with Simply Scrappin' Kits with a piece of Old Olive Polytwill ribbon. This is the basic layout of the pages. I then let the girls use the extra die cuts to add their personality to their pages.
