Same stamp set, different color scheme, a whole 'nother personality.  If you saw my last post I used this stamp set with some colors from the Brights Collection and it is quite different than this card.  That's one of the great things about stamps!  The same stamp set can create so many different looking cards or scrapbook pages!

I love bright colors!  I think the Brights Collection is the best part of the redesign of Stmapin' Up! colors.  Bright colors make me happy!  These flowers made me happy, so they needed to be bright!

If you've seen my blog a few times you know I'm not a vintage-y kind of girl, but I wanted to try something new.  I wouldn't have picked this stamp set as my hostess choice, but it was free during a demo promo.  So I figured I'd try it out.  I really like how it turned out. I don't know how often I'll use this set, since it isn't my style, but at least I gave it a shot, right?

New stamp set alert!  Funky Four was the first stamp set I fell in love with from the new IB&C so of course it was on my first order.  With this card my goal was to use Garden Green since I don't remember the last time I used it and I've been going through Old Olive cardstock like it was water!

Birthday Buttons

Another birthday is upon us!  This is the card my little helper assisted with.  I totally CASEd this from a fabulous card I saw on SCS.  I really wanted to use Circle Circus and while perusing the gallery I found this great card using faux buttons on the leaf.  I wanted to try out Cherry Cobbler and once I got started I was afraid it would look too Christmasy, but my wonderful hubby assured me once I put a birthday sentiment on it it would not be.  And I think he was right!  Thanks, hubby!  Oh, and I'm kicking myself for not having bought this Kraft (now Crumb Cake) cardstock before!  I love it!

My Little Helper

Point to the Birthday

We have a birthday in the family today so this one is in the mail (hopefully arriving in time).  It was an easy peasy one to make.  Not much stamping here.  But my desk is messy nonetheless and I couldn't find my Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging sheet, so it's just by sheer luck the sentiment is stamped straight!

I finally got around to using some of my new goodies!!  And can I just say I am in love with Marina Mist!?!?  It's a gorgeous color!!!  I'm so happy to have this color in the collections over Brocade Blue or Ballet Blue.  I've got a pack of this cardstock in my next order!!  And this is one of the new Level 1 hostess sets.  Isn't it lovely?!?!  I love hydrangeas!!  This got my stamping mojo going and now I just want to stamp, stamp, stamp!!  I've missed it while on my little hiatus (AKA new role as a mom).
